What Pattern Should We Use....

Our darling Niece Nelly has caught the painting bug and wanted to refinish a desk for her bedroom.  She selected the colors, helped with the prep work and even helped with a couple of coats of paint. 

She initially wanted to paint a chevron pattern in different colors on each of the drawers.  However, after looking at this piece we thought it would be so fun to incorporate a zebra pattern on the drawers. 

Since we are at a standstill and wondering what to do, we thought we would go to our best audience for advice.......
